Superman is on his way! Who can’t wait to see the Man of Steel? Yes, I’m raising my hand.

The Hobbit, directed by Peter Jackson, will be released in December 2012. Now, assuming the Mayans were wrong and the world continues to spin, The Hobbit will likely prove to make the winter a fantastic movie season.

So, below, is a list of the most exciting movies for the remainder of 2012.

5. Cloud Atlas

Here’s hoping the Wachowski brother’s can return to Matrix magic. Notice, I did not say Matrix Trilogy magic, because let’s face it: The Matrix movies went into a deep dive after the first one.

4. The Man With The Iron Fists

I mean c’mon. A guy who turns to metal. Russell Crowe back in action, and in a martial arts movie, of all things. I mean c’mon. How awesome does that look?

3. Skyfall

We’re going to get our Bond fix. It’s about time. With Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace showing Daniel Craig’s impressive interpretation of the James Bond character, and the more gritty tone of the movies, who thought we would have to wait this long? Alas, money problems abound in our modern economy. Even movie studios have their struggles. It’s not just you and me, boys and girls.

2. Lincoln

Spielberg. Need I say more? I mean Spielberg takes the same magic that brought you E.T., Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park, to the greatest president in American History. Even if you prefer Franklin Delano Roosevelt, you’ve got to see this movie. Go see Lincoln!

1. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

And of course, the number one most anticipated movie of the last quarter of 2012…the Hobbit.

Gotta love it!

See you back here in a week or two for our next comic!
